As an International Dance Technique and Acrobatic Arts Certified studio, we place students in classes that are developmentally and emotionally appropriate for their age and peer group. Starting at or after fourth grade, skill also becomes an important factor in class placement.
DANCE WITH ME
Ages 1.5 - 2.5yrs
What better way to bond with your Little Dancer and build relationships with other parents than through the creative art and movement of dance? Share in learning activities through nursery rhyme exercises, dance and musical instrument exploration, and even learn how to guide your toddler into a deeper and prolonged nap time. Parents will learn important facts and techniques to understanding their child's brain development by focus topics each week such as tummy time and toddler feedback by face to face interaction.
Ages 2.5 - 4.5
Hop like a bunny, slither like a snake...our Tiny Dance classes are made for those active waddlers and toddlers with oodles of energy! Welcome your child into their own Independence in this creative, fun and safe atmosphere of music and dance! Physical and mental skills such as balance, coordination, and body awareness are explored through play and dance with an emphasis on self-regulation skills and peer interaction. *Creative Dance, Ballet/Jazz and Tumbling styles are offered at this level.
Ages 5 - 6
Our Mini classes offer our students the chance to try a Combo class to help them find the right style & fit for them! These classes focus on fun and movement with the benefits of improving coordination, large motor skill development, musical awareness, listening skills, counting skills, & social skills! Students will begin to learn the basic steps, techniques, and terminology for each style. Jazz/Tap & Hip Hop Tumbling styles are offered at this level.
Our Tumbling/Acrobatics program follows the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. The Acrobatic Arts program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Simple thoughtful progressions take the beginner preschool level dancer from log rolls and summersaults to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage!
Ballet- The classic training of Ballet is essential as dancers develop skill, technique, turnout, and discipline. A must for all dancers as they progress. Ballet is one of the basic foundations for all dance and its movements. Ballet concentrates on excellent training in body placement, discipline, grace, and poise.
Hip-Hop is fusion of jazz and modern, danced to contemporary music. This class is perfect for dancers who love moving and grooving at a fast pace! Class will build the skills every dancer needs: gross motor skills, opposition, strength building, core engagement, brain to body connection, and so much more!
Students will learn the latest trends you see on Social Media (Instagram & TikTok), TV, & Music Videos! Age-appropriate choreography and music will be used in this high-energy class.
Jazz, while using ballet technique for its base, branches out into more creative, powerful and energetic movement through strength and expression. As one of the most expressive forms of dance, jazz offers dancers the chance to experience stylistic techniques in genres like Broadway, Lyrical, Latin, and Swing. As dancers advance, more challenging progressions, turns, and combinations are introduced.
Tap is a style in which dancers learn to make music with their feet and in turn, enhance their rhythm, musicality and dynamics. Tap is highly recommended for all students who wish to pursue their dancing extensively or for anyone who wants to have some fun!
Ages 10+ Audition Or Invitation Class
Pre-Pointe is the first step toward Pointe work for a young dancer. Students must be at least ten years old, have a minimum of three years of ballet training, and be recommended by their ballet teacher to be enrolled in the class. Teachers evaluate readiness for Pre-Pointe based on technique, strength, and consistency in class attendance.
