COVID-19 Studio Protocols

Updated 2/08/2022

We have updated our protocols to match recently updated guidance from the CDC and South Central Public Health District, which shortens the isolation/quarantine period to 5 days for individuals who test positive for COVID-19. The updated guidelines are as follows:

Parents must conduct their own health assessment of their dancer prior to arriving to the studio. Please keep your dancer home if your dancer isn’t feeling well or has any communicable symptoms, such as:

  • COVID-19 Symptoms - Fever (100 degrees Farenheit or higher); chills; shaking chills; cough (such as chronic cough not related to other known cause); difficulty breathing or swallowing; new loss of taste or smell; sore throat; headache when in combination with other symptom(s); muscle aches; fatigue when in combination with other symptom(s); nausea; vomiting; diarrhea; nasal congestion or runny nose (non-allergy related) when in combination with other symptom(s).

  • persistent coughing or runny nose

  • fever (Students who have taken fever-free medications within the past 24 hours may not attend classes)

  • vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours

  • skin rash

  • eye discharge

  • head lice

  • COVID-19 Symptoms

All students must have a valid phone number and emergency contact phone number on file. Children demonstrating symptoms of illness during class will be asked to wait in the designated student waiting area. We will call you to come and pick up your student immediately.

Dancers should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to their class time as Per Studio Policy. If you arrive to class earlier than 10 minutes before, please wait in your vehicle - not in the studio waiting room.

The lobby is open HOWEVER, we kindly request that ONLY one Parent/Guardian stay in the studio lobby and that Parents maintain social distancing. Please do not bring additional guests including grandparents, siblings or friends into the studio to watch classes. (We have recital for that!) Masks are not required but encouraged in the lobby. If needed, you may wait outside or in your car and at the end of class we can escort your child to you. Parents please practice social distancing while picking up and dropping off dancers.

Staff and dancers do not need to wear masks at this time however we are fully supportive of anyone who chooses to continue to wear a mask. We recommend masks for those who are unvaccinated. If you are wanting your dancer to wear a mask during class, please let the instructor know so that we can help safely assist them.
