Hair & Makeup
Don't you want to be able to see find your dancer's smiling face onstage and on camera!?
Then all dancers need to wear stage makeup (yes even the boys). The purpose behind this is because the stage lighting washes out the dancer's faces and the distance makes it difficult to distinguish facial features in person and on camera.

Recital Makeup

Girls

Tinted Moisturizer or Foundation (optional for Ages 7 & under)

Concealer (optional)

Blush applied to the cheekbones

Fill in eyebrows

Brown Eyeshadow (Smokey Eye optional)

Black eyeliner on top lash line (wing optional)

Black mascara

Red Lipstick- “Ruler (#80)” from Maybelline is great!

Boys
-
BB Cream,Tinted Moisturizer and/or Foundation (optional for Ages 7 & under)

Concealer (optional)

Blush applied to the cheekbones

Fill in eyebrows

Brown or Black eyeliner on top lash line

Mascara (optional)
-
Lipstick that is slightly darker than natural lip color.

Girls

Center Parted Ballet Bun
Parted center, slicked back into Ballet Bun. Please secure bangs and other loose pieces of hair off the face using bobby pins, gel, and/or hairspray. All head/hair pieces should be secured in place with bobby pins. If your dancer has short hair, pin the hair out of their face.
Boys

Styled
Hair needs to be styled back and out of their face.
